On a cliff, from which you can hear the peaceful flow of the Milè River flowing underneath, the Castello di Milé Hotel overlooks the wide Fitalia valley. The castle is an ancient fortress built prior to the eleventh century in order to protect the land from Arab invasions, which in that period represented a serious danger for local inhabitants.
Upon request, in addition to lodging, the facility proposes dishes prepared with farm or local products, enhanced with the use of wild, aromatic and medicinal herbs. Homemade bread, fresh pasta in many different shapes, marmalade, pickled veggies, omelets, batters, cheese, vegetables, meats and black-pig cured meats, and sweet foods are offered to guests, so that they can appreciate simple, healthy and natural cooking, but, above all, rediscover the flavors and knowledge of traditional country cooking.
The property is an ideal place to spend a pleasant stay combining nature, culture and tradition; it also offers a convenient starting point for simple nature walks or more challenging hikes in the Nebrodi Park.
Guests can also register for local wild herbs classes and wellness weekends (yoga, shiatsu, and various relaxation techniques) held by specialized personnel.
The facility accepts payment in cash, by check or by bank transfer.
